Competitive, social.....cricket you'll enjoy!

No matter how old you are, your ability or gender - there are cricket activities you can take part in at Castle Hill, the home of Uppingham Town Cricket Club. UTCC is an ECB Clubmark accredited organisation committed to providing cricket in the community.

Our players and supporters are mostly drawn from the market town where we are based and also from neighbouring villages. The club has a long established membership base and enjoys cricket across all junior age groups, senior weekend and weekday leagues. There is an opportunity to practise and play cricket almost everyday of the week!

We are a unique club in as much we have two excellent grounds side by side with pavilions serving both playing surfaces - this means we can pack as much cricket and practise into the week as possible to serve our growing membership. In the 2013 season we installed a new 4 lane artificial practise net which will give us greater flexibility for junior and seniors in developing their cricket skills.

Most weeks in summer revolve around the following cricketing and social activities:

Monday - Cup games
Tuesday - Evenings for junior fixtures and Burrough League games
Wednesday - Senior practise nets
Thursday - Under 13s practise night
Friday - Friday Nighters and Club Social Evening
Saturday - Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket League
Sunday - Rutland League and Sunday Friendly Team

Selection Committee meets Wednesday night for the following weekend teams. Junior teams are selected by their Coach/Manager.

Friday Nights are very popular as we host a number of fixtures either within members of the club or for work and sponsor based teams, often with a BBQ to follow. Look out on the Clubhouse link above for forthcoming events.
